About the Department

The Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development is housed within the School of Agriculture and Food Security. The department offers courses related to the business, socio-economic, and extension aspects of Agriculture. 

Vision:

To be the department of choice for Agricultural economics, agribusiness and extension studies within the region.  

 

Mission:

To produce graduates who are competent and able to serve effectively in the food and agricultural sector.
