Prof. Dida holds a PhD in Plant Genetics (University of East Anglia, UK), MSc Degree in Agronomy (University of Nairobi, Kenya), MPhil Degree in Plant Breeding (Cambridge University, UK) and BSc Degree in Agriculture (University of Nairobi, Kenya), in addition, Prof Dida holds a certificate in Plant Breeding Academy obtained from the University of California, Davis in USA. Prof Dida has held various positions including being the Dean of the School of Agriculture and Food Security, Tom Mboya University College, Homa Bay, Kenya. He has been a Coordinator of Science and Technology Park and Director of Research and Innovations, Maseno University, Kenya.. He has over 20 years of research and teaching experience. Prof Dida has developed 10 new varieties of crops ( maize, finger millet, sorghum and cassava) six of which have been released for commercialization in Kenya.
Prof Dida has supervised 14 postgraduate students, (6 PhD and 8 MSc).
